Instructions for Students

Read each situation carefully. Imagine that the person for whom the message is intended is not at home. Write a clear and concise message in 30–50 words. Include the date, time, important details, and your name.


1. School Excursion

You are Aditi. Your class teacher called while your elder brother was away. She informed you that the school excursion to Mysuru has been postponed to 15th October due to heavy rain. Write a message for your brother.


2. Music Class

You are Rahul. Your music teacher called while your sister was at the market. She requested your sister to attend an extra music practice on Friday at 4:00 p.m. Write a message for your sister.


3. Library Book

You are Meena. The school librarian called while your friend was absent. He reminded her to return the borrowed library book by Monday to avoid a fine. Write a message for your friend.
